The Department of Languages takes immeasurable steps to bring out the students’ hidden talents by providing innumerable opportunities through the “Tamil Mandram” platform. She has visited various foreign universities in the countries like Malyasia, Dubai and the United States to reach landmark modifications in her subject. She motivates and moulds the students with her guidance to expose their talents through various activities organized by the Department. She has organized numerous events, conferences and seminars and also has invited many eminent personalities to this College. She is also an eloquent orator in Tamil and has delivered her vibrant speeches in many colleges. She has been an eminent Member of Board of Studies for various colleges. She has produced two doctorates under her guidance. Her area of specialization is Modern Literature and she has presented and published more than 20 research papers in National and International Seminars. thesis is entitled as “Error Analysis in the Learning of Tamil by Other Language Students”. She has been awarded as the “Best Faculty” for the year 2011 by the College and also the recipient of “Vocational Service Excellence Award” for the year 2012 by Rotary Club. She has edited and published three books, namely Neerthivalaikal, Neeraambal, Sudarazhi.

She has been elected twice as the Senate Member of Bharathiar University.

Vijayasamundeswari, M.A., B.Ed., Ph.D., Vice Principal, has 21 years of teaching experience and she is also the Head of the Department of Languages. The Department of Languages offers Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and French as Part I Paper.
